Position: Hospital Medical Lab Tech(MLT) / Medical Lab Scientist (MLS)- Full Time  - Up to $120,000/YR!

Medical Laboratory Technician Or Scientist

Full-time medical laboratory technician or scientist responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple modalities to support patient care at a respected healthcare organization in Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, blood bank, and urinalysis
  • Analyze patient specimens while ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the testing process
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
  • Review and verify laboratory test results before reporting
  • Follow quality assurance and quality control procedures to maintain laboratory excellence
  • Adhere to all laboratory safety standards, infection control policies, and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding laboratory findings
  • Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply organization
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the laboratory
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related laboratory science field
  • Graduate of an accredited medical laboratory technician or medical laboratory scientist program
  • Oregon laboratory licensure, if applicable
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred

Skills:
  • ASCP, AMT, or equivalent national certification preferred or eligible, as required by employer
