About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our onsite IT support team in Florence, Oregon
. The ideal candidate will provide end-user technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage enterprise IT assets, and ensure the smooth operation of desktop infrastructure in a corporate environment.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other IT peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, image, and deploy Windows and macOS devices.
- Provide support for Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, VPN, and enterprise applications.
- Perform user account administration, password resets, and group management using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
- Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune and SCCM, including software deployment, patch management, and compliance.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and asset management through Service Now or similar ITSM platforms.
- Support LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, wireless access points, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities, device replacements, and hardware upgrades.
- Assist with rack & stack, structured cabling, and Smart Hands support when required.
- Maintain hardware inventory, asset lifecycle records, and technical documentation.
- Follow ITIL best practices and ensure compliance with organizational security policies and SLAs.
- Provide professional end-user support, including VIP/executive support when required.
- 3+ years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, or End User Computing (EUC).
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11, macOS, and basic Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , Microsoft 365, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and Service Now.
- Experience supporting printers, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.
- Knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Experience with hardware imaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and asset management.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
