Position: Registered Nurse (Pre-Op, PACU, OR) Part-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical care team. This role involves providing nursing care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The RN will serve as a patient advocate and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow team members to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, individualized nursing care in Pre-op, PACU, and O.R. settings.
  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and implement care plans.
  • Monitor patients post-operatively for progress and complications.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on discharge instructions and recovery.
  • Participate in admitting and discharging patients in a timely, safe manner.
  • Support infection control and safety protocols.
  • Assist with inventory, stocking, and maintaining a clean peri-operative environment.
  • Respond competently to emergency situations and alarms.
  • Collaborate in QAPI initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and orientation of new personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Kentucky
  • BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in surgical or ambulatory care settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient care assignments.
  • Commitment to patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
