Internal Auditor III at Midlands Technical College assists in developing, planning, and implementing college-wide internal audits to ensure accuracy, documentation, and adherence to college, state, and federal rules related to financial, compliance, and operational activities. The role involves inspecting accounting files, testing transactions for accuracy, conducting audits and reviews of financial records, and writing audit reports. This position is located at the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus and reports to the Director of Auditing.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 15 semester hours in accounting-related courses, or Associate degree with accounting-related courses and 2 years' experience in accounting, auditing, banking, finance, insurance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial data, records, and reports
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently under general supervision
- Must be organized, dependable, and a self-starter
