Administrative Assistant - Palliative Care
The Administrative Assistant provides clerical, administrative, and scheduling support to the Palliative Care team. This position ensures efficient day-to-day office operations through effective communication, organization, and coordination of administrative functions while providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and providers.
Responsibilities- Utilize office procedures, computer applications, and office equipment to perform a variety of administrative duties.
- Manage office operations, including filing, data entry, report generation, presentation preparation, and supply ordering.
- Provide scheduling support by coordinating appointments and ensuring calendars are maintained to prevent conflicts.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain effective communication through phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Organize and maintain confidential records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
- Assist with meeting coordination, including scheduling, preparation of materials, and follow-up activities.
- Support departmental projects and special assignments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Full Time
- 80 Hours Biweekly
- Day Shift
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, clerical, or office support experience required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
