Administrative Assistant - Palliative Care

The Administrative Assistant provides clerical, administrative, and scheduling support to the Palliative Care team. This position ensures efficient day-to-day office operations through effective communication, organization, and coordination of administrative functions while providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and providers.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize office procedures, computer applications, and office equipment to perform a variety of administrative duties.
  • Manage office operations, including filing, data entry, report generation, presentation preparation, and supply ordering.
  • Provide scheduling support by coordinating appointments and ensuring calendars are maintained to prevent conflicts.
  • Answer and screen incoming phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain effective communication through phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain confidential records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Assist with meeting coordination, including scheduling, preparation of materials, and follow-up activities.
  • Support departmental projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
  • Full Time
  • 80 Hours Biweekly
  • Day Shift
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, clerical, or office support experience required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
