Job Description
The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties to ensure effective and efficient office operations. Will need to be proactive, organized, have strong attention to detail, and demonstrate clear communication. Provides assistance to Clerk to Council, department management, co-workers, and the general public as required.
Essential Functions:- Greet people at the window.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Process notary applications.
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
- Order office supplies.
- Retrieve and distribute mail.
- Scan documents.
- Print and assemble County Council documents.
- Process invoices for payment.
- File and pull documents.
- Assist with processing FOIA requests.
- Record meetings as needed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate information on website.
- Essential Functions:
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Education and Work Experience
- Requires a vocational/technical diploma in secretarial science, administrative management or related field supplemented by three to five years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and or similar programs.
- Operates a variety of office equipment.

- Frequently required to perform basic physical activities and communicate effectively to carry out essential job duties.
