Job Duties:- The County Administrative Support Specialist II independently performs a variety of advanced secretarial or administrative duties involved in the operation of an office, department, or unit; applies written and unwritten policies, knowledge of operations, programs and procedures to make independent decisions concerning processing of information and material and to establish procedures that would assist supervisory personnel.
- Enters and retrieves data using appropriate computer systems necessary to ensure clients receive services or benefits to which they are entitles. Responsible for reviewing compiled data or program forms and correcting mistakes prior to inputting data.
- Receives telephone calls; screens, and refers them appropriately; personally, solves programmatic/procedural problems or answers questions that require substantial knowledge.
- Receives requests for statistical/program information, advises requestor when/if material can be provided; assembles information or directs request to the appropriate person.
- Responsible for filing incoming case files on file shelves, pulling outgoing files as requested, maintain separation of case files by program and purging closed case files as required for destruction and archives.
- Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Performs other administrative duties as needed.
- Performs emergency disaster management services to include American Red Cross sheltering and Disaster Snap duties; performs other related duties as required.
A High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience.
An Associate Degree or higher can be substituted for relevant work experience.
Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words a minute.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Individuals must comply with necessary field work assignments.
