Job DescriptionWe are seeking a self‑motivated Project Manager who can help vet subcontractors to build and maintain our approved list of subcontractors starting on day one. Ideally you are comfortable calling subcontractors (electricians, HVAC, Water/Sewer, Septic, Site Prep, etc.), vetting them, understanding their pricing, and building a relationship/partnership with them. We want a rolodex of quality subcontractors in multiple territories.
Another integral part of the project manager position, you will be responsible for overseeing the turnkey installation process of manufactured homes including scheduling and coordinating each of the services. We manage each project in Salesforce, and while it's not a deal breaker if you don't know Salesforce, it’s definitely a big plus if you do. You will manage multiple projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
This role also involves managing subcontractor invoices and payables, accounts receivable, ordering materials, scheduling jobs, as well as ordering permits and inspections with multiple jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with an approved list of high quality subcontractors
- Oversee and manage the installation process of manufactured homes and related construction projects as part of the turnkey installation.
- Work with permitting offices to obtain zoning/building permits and order inspections.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for carpentry, electrical, HVAC, water/sewer installations, and other site work.
- Vet and onboard new subcontractors per Quartz Transport onboarding standards and requirements.
- Manage project budgets, including payments to subcontractors and material ordering.
- Handle job invoicing and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Schedule and coordinate job timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the construction or manufactured home installation industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes in the homebuilding or manufactured home realm.
- Experience in coordinating and managing subcontractors.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and handle invoicing and accounts receivable.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- CDL‑A (unrestricted) is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.
- Salesforce experience is a huge plus.
