As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients in urgent medical situations. You will work alongside a skilled team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality emergency care, ensuring that all patients receive timely and effective treatment. • Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in critical situations
• Perform thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Stabilize patients and administer appropriate treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with emergency medicine best practices
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
• Adhere to all medical protocols and standards of care

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
• Experience in emergency medicine is preferred
  
  Strong clinical skills and knowledge of emergency procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Schedule:

11p-7a, primarily weekends

Annual Volume: ~100k patients

Daily Volume: ~190 ED visits on average

Must be comfortable treating all ages

All emergency medicine procedures are required

80-bed ED

Support Staff: APPs, scribes

EMR:
Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
