Job Responsibilities
Discusses the comprehensive school counseling program work plan with school administrators and the supervising director to work collaboratively with staff to implement a comprehensive school counseling program. Provides leadership and collaborates with other educators in the school‑wide integration of State Guidance curriculum standards for student development. Implements developmentally appropriate and prevention‑oriented group activities to meet student needs and school goals. Assists all students individually or in groups with developing academic, career, and personal/social skills, goals, and plans.
MinimumAnd Additional Requirements
Must have a Master’s Degree and Licensure by the SC Department of Education in Guidance-Elementary or Secondary or Associate Guidance – Secondary or Secondary Advance; and two (2) years’ experience teaching or counseling. Must have knowledge of the communication and cultural issues related to serving sensory‑impaired individuals.
