Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the Office Manager plans and directs the daily operations of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Cultures’ main office that supports over 66 full‑time faculty, various part‑time temporary faculty, approximately 40 GAs, and five classified staff. Responsibilities include training, scheduling, and supervising work‑study students; coordinating and planning equipment repairs and purchase; handling office moves and facilities issues; responding to student inquiries;
assisting the Curriculum Coordinator with scheduling and student issues; and supporting the assistant to the Chair.

- Prefer applicants with purchasing and budgeting experience, preferably in the area of government or other entities that operate under regulatory oversight or strict procedures and policies.
- Prefer knowledge of the university system and USC policies and procedures concerning student hires, purchasing, VISA, and other USC online systems.
- Working knowledge of computers in general and Microsoft Office products and Adobe.
