Nursing Instructor

General Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality instruction, teach courses as assigned, deliver course documentation, demonstrate interaction skills, relate materials to course objectives, design creative activities, use diverse teaching techniques, and organize instruction.
• Provide academic advising; assist with recruitment, develop retention activities, aid in graduate placement, assist in student orientation/registration, and give safety instruction.
• Manage classroom, lab, and clinic activities; hold 8 office hours per week; submit timely reports; prepare budget projections for equipment & supplies; maintain good housekeeping; repair equipment as needed.
• Design new programs, revise curricula, develop new courses, update instructional materials, and participate in advisory committees.
• Serve on college committees; perform public service; supervise student events; promote the purpose and institutional objectives; build relationships with employers of graduates.

• Master of Science in Nursing and an unencumbered, active RN license in South Carolina or another compact state.
• At least 2 years of experience in an acute‑care setting with a strong medical‑surgical background.

Thirty‑seven and one‑half hours per week (37.5);
Monday through Friday.
