Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:
Teach one or more of the following courses:
Blueprint Reading, Manufacturing Skills, Machining, Basic Tools, Basic Skills, Measuring, Maintenance, Production, HVAC, etc. Will be working in a team environment, utilizing effective communication skills, working independently, and exercising sound judgment. Must be able to develop programs and curricula to meet industry needs; possess proficient presentation skills. Custom training will be provided to companies in FDTC's service area, as well as open-enrollment classes when applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of three years of industry experience and a combination of formal education, certifications, and hands-on expertise to effectively train students in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The instructor must hold an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification and demonstrate strong technical proficiency in electrical systems, HVAC system design, refrigeration cycles, brazing, and troubleshooting. Have a solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and EPA regulations to ensure safe practices in both classroom and lab environments.
In addition, the instructor should be skilled in developing lesson plans, delivering clear and engaging instruction using various teaching methods, and possess strong communication skills (oral and written); patience, and motivational abilities to support student learning and success. Ability to teach one or more of the courses in the related field of Industry Manufacturing; be able to develop programs and curricula to meet industry needs;
have excellent presentation skills.
