OB/GYN Clerkship Site Director

The Clinical OB/GYN Clerkship Site Director oversees the day-to-day clinical activities and assessments of third-year medical students during their required clinical clerkships in Florence which includes, but is not limited to, the instruction and teaching of medical knowledge, skills, practices and procedures, orientation, academic advisement and hands-on medical training, as required by the USC SOM educational programs and performance objectives. Their activities will be coordinated with the Office of Medical Student Education-Florence, which will provide administrative support.

They will report to the Assistant Dean for Medical Student Education, Florence, and the Clerkship Director in Columbia. Given that each clerkship will have 1-4 students on rotation at a time, these duties are estimated to require no more than 1-4 hours per week. The Clerkship Site Director may also serve as a Clinical Preceptor. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.

Positions are advertised for a minimum of forty-five (45) days on our job website. After forty-five (45) days, positions can be closed at the discretion of the department at any time.
