Special Education Teacher
We are hiring for a great client in Shelby, SC. This is an on‑site contract opportunity for a Special Education Teacher.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ academic and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Active SC Special Education teaching credential
- Experience working with students with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Knowledge of IEP development and compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families
