Clinical Instructor

Responsible for providing hands-on clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students; facilitating learning experiences; assessing student progress in a clinical setting, while maintaining professional standards of practice.

• Clinical Instruction
• Lead discussions and elicit information from students to assess their learning and achievement of clinical objectives.
• Teach students how to perform duties in the clinical site and answer their questions.
• Maintain clinical standards and course expectations throughout each course or term.
• Provide a supportive learning environment.
• Student Assessment and Feedback
• Provide feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and clinical site staff.
• Other Responsibilities
• Adhere to class schedules and meeting times.
• Submit reports in a timely manner.
• Prioritize duties and use time wisely.
• Provide effective classroom/lab supervision.
• Participate in departmental meetings and activities.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing. Successful teaching and leadership experience in a nursing education program or clinical educator role in a healthcare setting. Licensed (or eligible) to practice Nursing in South Carolina. A minimum of 2 years' of clinical experience in area of expertise.
