Senior Chaplain McCormick Correctional Inst. McCormick; McCORMICK) Level 3

• Provides for weekly worship services and the sacraments.
• Assists in providing crisis intervention services for inmates including, but not limited to, deaths and critical illness of family members.
• Conducts religious education classes and social skills groups as needed and/or requested.
• Provides individual and group pastoral counseling.
• Provides daily visitation to inmates as needed.
• Recruits and trains institutional volunteers.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

The equivalent of a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school, additional clinical pastoral education and/or work experience in a clinical pastoral setting.

• Must have the equivalent of a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological seminary;
• Ordination as a priest, minister, or Rabbi, with current ecclesiastical endorsement; one (1) year of pastoral experience; and must have completed two (2) CPE units under the supervision of an ACPE certified educator.
• Will be required to have 4 units of CPE within 24 months of hire.
