Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering
The EPMS Manager leads the buildout and execution of the Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) team supporting large-scale data center and industrial facilities. This role owns EPMS delivery end to end, from system architecture and configuration through commissioning and turnover, while actively developing technicians and engineers in the field.
This is a highly hands-on leadership role. The EPMS Manager is expected to be deeply involved in technical execution, field problem-solving, and team development, especially during the early stages of new projects and new business. The environment will not be smooth out of the gate, and success requires flexibility, patience, and the ability to lead through ambiguity.
The role supports multiple mission-critical data centers on the East Coast, including three active data center sites in South Carolina, and requires heavy travel.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & System Execution- Lead the design, configuration, deployment, and integration of EPMS across data center and industrial facilities
- Oversee installation and setup of power meters, protective relays, breakers, gateways, and monitoring hardware
- Own network configuration, device addressing, and communications using protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP, and SNMP
- Ensure EPMS data is properly integrated into SCADA systems, BMS platforms, and enterprise monitoring tools
- Establish and enforce EPMS standards including naming conventions, addressing schemes, documentation, and commissioning procedures
- Review system architectures and network designs to ensure constructability, scalability, and long-term reliability
- Support commissioning, functional testing, site acceptance testing, and troubleshooting in live environments
