Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Florence, SC that is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I. The Mechanical Designer position is responsible for modeling and drawing generation of a wide range of mechanical hardware and components designed for use in elevator systems. The candidate should not only be adept at handling typical design tasks (modeling and detailing) but must be able to effectively communicate cross-functionally.

• Provide design support to internal and external customers
• Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness
• Support resolution of engineering issues
• Develop component and system level models and drawings
• Support cost reduction efforts
• Support FTB reduction
• Support Engineers with 3D studies and prototyping
• Support engineering CN process
• Support to system level model updates

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed.
• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
