Join Indotronix as a Mechanical Engineer I in Florence, SC, and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing elevator systems. This opportunity places you at the forefront of product integrity, supporting field mechanics by driving design improvements and implementing critical engineering changes. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for field turnbacks, collaborating closely with elevator field mechanics to resolve issues and implement engineering solutions.
- Design, model, and test a wide range of elevator components, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, cost analyses, and reports for engineering changes and new component integrations.
- Utilize 3D CAD tools (such as Creo) for component design and modeling.
- Participate in the change control process to drive closure of the Field Turnback Backlog.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and field representatives to align on project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling (preferably Creo).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Effective stakeholder alignment and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent technical documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Elevator field installation exposure.
- Hands-on testing or manufacturing experience.
- Sheet metal design expertise.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
