Job Description:
We are seeking an Ergonomics Engineer / Ergonomics Specialist to support manufacturing operations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating ergonomic risks across assembly workstations, manufacturing processes, and material handling tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct ergonomic assessments for assembly workstations, manufacturing processes, and material handling activities.
- Perform risk assessments using tools such as RULA, REBA, and NIOSH.
- Analyze operator posture, force, repetition, and task frequency to identify risks.
- Identify musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risks and unsafe work practices.
- Evaluate workstation layouts, tooling, equipment, and work cell designs.
- Conduct workplace evaluations and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Implement ergonomic improvements including workstation redesign, height adjustments, assist devices, tooling modifications, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, safety, EHS, and industrial engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on ergonomics, productivity, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with ergonomic standards and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop ergonomic assessment reports, risk registers, and mitigation plans.
- Document findings, recommendations, and implementation results.
- Conduct training on ergonomic best practices, safe work methods, posture, lifting techniques, and risk prevention.
- Utilize Digital Human Modeling tools such as JACK, DELMIA, and Process Simulate.
- Analyze data and track the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions.
- Support digital transformation initiatives related to ergonomics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Ergonomics, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Experience conducting ergonomic assessments in manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of ergonomic assessment methodologies (RULA, REBA, NIOSH).
- Experience with workstation design, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Knowledge of occupational health, safety regulations, and MSD prevention.
- Experience with Digital Human Modeling tools such as JACK, DELMIA, or Process Simulate.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
