Hardware Electrical-Mechanical Designer
Job Type: 12 + Month Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Location: Florence SC 29501
Pay Range - $40- $49/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Hardware Electrical-Mechanical Designer with strong experience in Creo and Pro-Cable and/or E3 Zuken to support the design and development of electrical and mechanical hardware and components.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with 3D modeling, drawing generation, wiring diagrams, component and system-level design, and translating engineering requirements into accurate design deliverables.
Responsibilities- Provide design support to internal and external customers.
- Modify existing components and develop new component solutions to improve product robustness.
- Support resolution of engineering and design issues.
- Develop component, assembly, subsystem, and system-level models and drawings.
- Support cost reduction initiatives.
- Support first-time build (FTB) reduction efforts.
- Support engineers with 3D studies and prototyping.
- Support engineering change notice (ECN) processes.
- Support system-level model updates.
- Interpret engineering markups and translate design intent into 3D models and drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Creo 10 or higher.
- Proficient in Pro-Cable.
- Strong experience with E3 Zuken Wiring Diagrams.
- Experience with component, assembly, subsystem, and system modeling.
- Programming experience using Notepad or similar text-based tools.
- Experience with parametric design and programming.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematics techniques for part fitment and design feasibility.
- Experience defining welding, GD&T, tolerances, material specifications, and finishes within drawings and models.
- Experience supporting electrical and mechanical design activities.
- Ability to interpret engineering markups and accurately convey design intent into models and drawings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers and internal customers.
- Ability to work at pace while managing multiple deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Creo 10+ experience is required.
- Pro-Cable and/or E3 Zuken experience is required.
- Electrical-mechanical design experience is required.
- Strong 3D modeling and drawing experience is required.
- Candidate must be willing to work 100% onsite.
Candidates without Creo experience and Pro-Cable and/or E3 Zuken experience will not be considered.
