Event Support Technician; Pool

This part-time position provides event and facility support throughout Piedmont Technical College’s seven-county service region, including the Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda campuses. The Event Support Technician will assist with the preparation and support of events held in College rental facilities and other designated spaces.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down event spaces, including moving and arranging tables, chairs, and other event-related materials; providing onsite support during events; responding to reasonable customer and facility needs; and helping ensure event spaces are maintained and prepared according to expectations. The position may also perform other related duties as assigned based on event and operational needs.

These are temporary, part-time positions.

This position requires a flexible work schedule based on scheduled events and facility rentals. Candidates must be available to work varying hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Power Point and the ability to learn other technology used to support events.
• Ability to read and follow event layout diagrams and accurately set up event spaces according to provided specifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with event setup and breakdown.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move event-related equipment and furnishings
  , including tables and chairs, as well as stack and arrange chairs as needed.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while providing professional and responsive customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
  , including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event and facility needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with sound/audio equipment is preferred but not required.
