Cardiac Stepdown RN Details- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570–$1680

Cardiac Stepdown Unit - Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:00am)

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand before start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Certifications:
ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS preferred - Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Willingness to work during hurricane season (June–November) if assignment overlaps
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Locals within 60 miles not accepted
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown setting
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patients post-cardiac procedures, including cardiac surgery, angiogram, and TPA care
- Administer blood products, manage arterial and central lines, and provide ventilator and tracheostomy care
- Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, titrate insulin drips, and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
