Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand before start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Willingness to work during hurricane season (June–November) if assignment overlaps
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Locals within 60 miles not accepted
• First-time travelers not accepted

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown setting
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patients post-cardiac procedures, including cardiac surgery, angiogram, and TPA care
• Administer blood products, manage arterial and central lines, and provide ventilator and tracheostomy care
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, titrate insulin drips, and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as scheduled
