As a Speech‑Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans.
You are a healer and a helper, addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual, with the goal of designing a program that restores, reinforces, and enhances speech and communication abilities.
You are adaptable to the needs of patients, thrive in varied settings, collaborate with peers, and make referrals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
You are a teacher who can train patients and caregivers on the skills needed to promote independence and productivity.
Qualifications- A Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a similarly titled area accepted by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
- Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.
- Experience in pediatric or adult speech therapy (desired).
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and evidence‑based practice.
