Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with 3+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for weekend day shifts.
Responsibilities- Work in a tertiary care setting with 283 staffed beds
- MRI Tech position with schedule of 3x12s:
Friday 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM–9:00 PM - Weekend shifts are required, with some on-call responsibility
- Patient care involves MRI imaging using Philips ingenuity equipment
- No floating required to other units or sister facilities
- Uses Epic as the EMR system; prior Epic experience is a plus
- Responsibilities include performing MRI scans and ensuring patient safety during procedures
- Black or teal scrubs required
- Modules must be completed prior to start
- Free parking available
- Must not have been a permanent or PRN staff member at the facility within the past year
- RTO must be included at the time of submission; extended or holiday RTO may delay approval
- Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
- Acceptance of first-time travelers is possible depending on experience
- Minimum of 3 years of MRI technologist experience required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Experience operating Philips ingenuity MRI equipment required
- License required if applicable
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
- Must provide Social Security Number and valid Driver's License for consideration
