The Research Coordinator, Clinical Affairs supports in the planning and execution of research studies evaluating the safety, efficacy, and substantiation of dietary supplements. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day coordination of research protocols, participant interactions, data collection, and regulatory documentation, ensuring studies run smoothly, compliantly, and on schedule. The role also includes reviewing, improving, and devising systems to enhance efficiency in the clinical and consumer research process.

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 / year
Responsibilities- Support the Director of Clinical Affairs to lead clinical and consumer research programs in support of new products and differentiation of existing products.
- Coordinate and manage daily clinical/consumer research activities from start‑up through close‑out ensuring compliance with protocols, SOPs and regulatory/ethical guidelines (e.g., GCP, IRB requirements).
- Lead development of research study documents, including protocol, informed consent, screening questionnaire, recruitment materials, and self‑assessments.
- Maintain and monitor IRB submissions.
- Support participant recruitment, scheduling, and data collection if needed.
- Coordinate with CROs, labs, and internal teams and may serve as a central point of contact with research partner groups, collaborators, sites and consultants.
- Maintain accurate study documentation and data entry in electronic systems, prepare regulatory submissions and reports, and support audits/monitor visits.
- Manage systems, develop best practices, and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the research activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical operations roles in consumer‑packaged goods, dietary supplements, nutritional and/or functional foods.
- Proven experience in designing and managing human clinical trials and consumer studies.
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, GCP, ICH, FTC regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of IRB requirements and regulatory requirements for clinical trials of dietary supplements including FDA, DHSEA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Expertise in project management and vendor oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
