Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring cardiac experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in an acute care hospital,

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with holiday rotation,

• Patient ratio of 1:2,

• Weekend shifts required every other weekend,

• Floating to similar units required, agency staff float first,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Unit uses Epic EMR; prior experience with Epic preferred,

• Royal blue scrubs required,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start,

• Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac experience required,

• AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS,

• Previous perm staff (including PRN) must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,

• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility unless approved as a local at a reduced rate,

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients with complex needs,

• All time off requests must be declared at application; approval is based on facility needs,

• Must be willing and able to participate in hospital emergency response during hurricane season (June-November),

• No parking fee for staff on site,

• Completion of approximately 4 hours of pre-start modules is required,

• Locals may be considered at a reduced rate on a case-by-case basis,
