Description:
Position is for a Medical Surgical RN.
The role involves working in a flex pool setting with 3x12 or 4x12 shifts.
Ratios are typically 1:6, but may flex to 1:7 if needed.
There is a requirement to work every other weekend.
On-call shifts may be necessary during low census situations.
Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Required skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias and post-operative care.
Experience with insulin protocols, wound care, and IV therapy is essential.
The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics with various medical diagnoses.
Daily census varies, and interdisciplinary support is available.
Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
