Description:

Position is for a Med Surg RN in a Flex Pool.
Shifts will consist of 3x12s or 4x12s during the day.
The typical patient ratio is 1:6-7.
The staffing plan typically supports 1:6, but may flex to 1:7 during unplanned absences.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
On-call shifts may be required based on low census.
The traveler may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, but first-time travelers are accepted.
A valid license must be in hand prior to starting.
BLS certification is required.
ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
Epic experience is a must.
Skills in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, and rapid response are necessary.
The patient population consists of adults and geriatrics.
Typical diagnoses include general medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as various surgical cases.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy, among others.
Travelers should be aware there may be assignments related to emergency response during hurricane season.
All time off must be disclosed at the time of submission, and no locals will be accepted.
The facility may call off one shift per two weeks.
