The Information Security AUD plans, organizes, and conducts comprehensive audits of IT security and privacy systems and controls for the South Carolina Department of Corrections. The position assists in developing security audit policies, performs compliance audits, coordinates reports, and maintains records of IT security and privacy audit results. Located in Richland County, the role reports to the Risk Management Compliance Manager within the Department of Corrections' Resource Information Management Division.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field
- Experience in the information technology field with a security-focused role
- Knowledge of auditing information privacy and security controls and performing risk assessments
- Knowledge of NIST infosec/privacy/risk frameworks
- Preferred certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISSP, GCCC, CIPM, or other relevant certifications
