Purchasing Agent — Keep Production Moving at Cyclonaire

York, Nebraska | Full-Time | Hourly (Non-Exempt)

About the Role

As a Purchasing Agent, you play a critical role in keeping our production team running smoothly. You’ll plan, source, and track materials, working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure everything shows up when it’s needed — no surprises.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to juggle priorities will make a real impact on our success.

What You’ll Do
  • Support production by ensuring materials and components arrive on time
  • Track and follow up on supplier shipments and delivery commitments
  • Request quotes, place purchase orders, and manage procurement
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP system
  • Identify substitute materials when needed to avoid delays
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with Accounting to resolve pricing or invoice discrepancies
  • Keep documentation organized and up to date
What You Bring
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication skills — especially when working with vendors
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
  • High School diploma required;
    Associate degree or 1–3 years of related experience preferred
  • Bonus points for experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments
