Senior Logistics Coordinator

The Senior Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing customer tooling rental and sales orders from order receipt through fulfillment, billing, and closeout. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate order processing, inventory management, shipment coordination, financial documentation, regulatory compliance, and effective customer service.

The position serves as a subject matter resource for logistics operations and is responsible for supporting the timely, accurate, cost-effective, and compliant movement of materials and equipment. The Senior Logistics Coordinator works independently and collaboratively across functions to identify process improvement opportunities, implement operational efficiencies, support cost-reduction initiatives, and maintain standardized work practices that improve customer service and business performance.

7:30 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m. (overtime as needed)

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for tooling rentals and sales, providing timely and professional support via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Process and coordinate customer orders from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Verify inventory availability and fulfill orders according to customer requirements.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including preparation of Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documentation, and customs-related requirements.
  • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including inspection, documentation, record maintenance, and system updates.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, inventory transactions, and billing activity.
  • Enter, review, and validate data required for invoicing and order closure.
  • Generate and distribute recurring operational, inventory, and billing reports.
  • Monitor logistics performance, service levels, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify, track, and support implementation of cost-reduction initiatives related to transportation, freight, inventory, order fulfillment, and related logistics processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, templates, checklists, and other process documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, inventory visibility, reporting accuracy, customer service, and overall operational performance.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives and projects that enhance logistics processes and business results.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and systems and recommend process improvements that support business objectives.
  • Serve as a key liaison among customers, field offices, suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues related to tooling rentals, sales, shipments, inventory, and billing in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate operational performance, project updates, and improvement opportunities to leadership and stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field; or an Associate degree with equivalent directly related experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, inventory management, order fulfillment, distribution, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational and financial data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and standardized business processes.
  • Experience utilizing business systems, databases, customer portals, or transportation management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
  • Experience with domestic and international transportation, freight management, customs documentation, or import/export processes.
  • Experience with inventory control, order management, billing, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience developing operational metrics, KPIs, dashboards, or cost-savings reporting.
  • Experience supporting system implementations or business process transformation initiatives.
