- Manage the commissary operations efficiently and accurately within the guidelines established by the agency.
- Supervise daily reporting and accuracy of all commissary supplies, budgeting, ordering, and receiving.
- Conduct and document inventory.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurate records.
- Supervise employee/inmate workers: screen, select, train, and evaluate assigned personnel.
- Provide rehabilitation and self‑improvement opportunities for inmates.
- Manage laundry operations.
- Accurately account for laundry turn‑in and turn‑back.
- Determine serviceability of clothing and eligibility of exchange.
- Maintain detailed chemical records.
- Maintain operation/equipment that is safe and healthy as required by OSHA standards.
- Ensure appropriate maintenance is performed.
- Perform administrative functions as assigned or required.
- Travel required; schedule subject to change.
- Succeed in completing four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
- High school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; a bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
- Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures in a correctional environment.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
