Job Description Summary

The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in managing day‑to‑day store operations, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. Provides leadership, guidance, and training to store staff. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager assumes full responsibility for all operations and strives to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational objectives.

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, maintain, and enhance an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Perform all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedures; manage Sales, Discounts, Refunds, Loyalty, Open/Closing procedures.
• Handle inventory control: shipping and receiving, price management, damaged merchandise, physical inventory.
• Maintain sales floor merchandising and visual presentation in accordance with company standards; oversee housekeeping and promotional event signage.
• Control payroll: scheduling, budget compliance, time and attendance.
• Develop direct reports through training, utilizing available training tools.
• Manage loss prevention responsibilities to protect company assets.
• Work toward complete understanding of day‑to‑day operations.
