Receiving Clerk - Steel Bay

This position assists with receiving and checking the condition of incoming raw materials, accepts or rejects materials as appropriate, maintains proper records and transfers materials, and maintains the organization of the receiving area/steel bay.

• Use measuring instruments to determine the width, length, and thickness of raw materials.
• Understand the manufacturing process and facility.
• Operate overhead crane, all types of scales, and forklifts with 5,000 to 30,000 lb capacities safely.
• Learn and use hardness testing equipment accurately.
• Maintain proper 5S, housekeeping, and safety standards.
• Wear and use all required personal protective equipment.
• Ensure safety of self and others.
• Comply with company core values, policies, and legal guidelines.

• Valid driver's license.
• Pass company lift truck certification.
• Experience operating forklifts preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Work well independently and in a team.
• Quality- and safety-oriented mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Read, comprehend, follow, and apply work instructions and procedures.
• Problem identification and solving skills preferred.
• Accurately use a caliper and tape measure.

• Accepts extended standing and walking periods.
• Wears appropriate PPE and follows safety procedures.
• May require lifting, pushing, pulling objects.
• Varied temperatures depending on season and machining.
