Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN with a SC or compact license, cardiac and neuro experience, and required certifications for a night shift position in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within an acute care hospital
- Assignment is 11 weeks in length
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
- Floating to similar units required, with agency staff floating first
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Responsible for caring for critically ill cardiac patients, including those with neuro needs
- Must complete required modules before the start of assignment
- Holiday coverage and every other weekend shifts are required
- Block scheduling requests can be made but are not guaranteed
- Must include all requested time off at application; approval is based on facility needs
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
- Free parking is provided at the facility
- Active South Carolina or compact RN license must be in hand before start
- AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum of 1 year recent CVICU experience required, 2 years preferred
- Cardiac and neuro experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Social Security number and driver’s license required for consideration
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility (no local travelers accepted)
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
