We’re seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in an acute-care hospital. This role supports a high-volume perioperative services department with 12 ORs, Epic EMR, and a reliable day shift. Travel Nursing Job Details (Florence, SC)- Location: Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina travel nursing job)
- Position Type: Travel Contract – Operating Room RN / Perioperative RN
- Contract Dates: 03/09/2026 – 06/08/2026 (13 weeks)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: Days – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Shifts per Week: 3 (3x12s)
- On-Call: Required (one weekday “2-star” call until 11:00 PM + weekend call rotation)
- Weekend Requirement: Call every 3rd–4th weekend
- Floating: No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
- Charting System: Epic (Epic EMR)
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Facility Snapshot: Acute care hospital; 276 staffed beds;
Level III trauma center; 12 operating rooms
- Experience: Minimum 5 years acute care Operating Room RN experience (well-rounded; strong in general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN)
- License: Active South Carolina RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license (pending SC license considered with proof of application; must be active by start date)
- Certification: BLS (AHA)
- Radiation Badge: Required; must be provided by the traveler’s agency
- Traveler Eligibility: First-time travel nurses considered with broad OR competency
- Local Policy: Must reside outside a 60-mile radius (local travelers not accepted)
- Time Off: All requested time off must be submitted up front for consideration
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for adult surgical patients in a fast-paced operating room
- Circulate and/or scrub across multiple specialties while maintaining sterile technique and supporting efficient room turnover
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document accurately and on time in Epic per facility policy and perioperative standards
- Participate in the required call rotation, including weekday call coverage and weekend call every 3rd–4th weekend
- Maintain readiness for emergency response assignments as needed during hurricane season (June–November)
