• Position: CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract (Travel Nurse, Critical Care RN)
• Location: Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina nursing jobs, Florence travel nursing)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (276 staffed beds)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (03/09/2026 – 06/08/2026)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) – Night Shift CVICU RN role
• Schedule: 3 shifts/week, every other weekend required, holiday rotation
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 (cardiac ICU staffing)
• Charting/EMR: Epic EMR
• Parking: Free
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Floating: Required within scope to like/sister units as needed (agency floats first)
• On-Call: Not required

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; CVICU or cardiac ICU experience required (preferred: post–open heart care)
• Travel Experience: Prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• License: Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be active prior to start)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS required
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics (cardiac critical care)
• Clinical Skills: Hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz/PA lines), IABP, Impella, CRRT/CVVHD, temporary pacing, chest tube management, ventilator management, titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Immunizations: Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to CVICU patients, including post–open heart and other complex cardiac populations
• Perform ongoing assessment, monitoring, and documentation; respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac infusions, sedation, and hemodynamic medications per protocol and provider orders
• Manage and troubleshoot ICU equipment: hemodynamic monitors, chest tubes, temporary pacers, CRRT, ventilators, Impella and IABP devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (providers, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and ancillary staff) to coordinate safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain infection prevention standards, isolation precautions, and safe medication administration practices
• Float to like units within scope as needed to support patient care and staffing
