Job Details- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care)
- Location: Florence, SC 29505 (Florence County)
- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility — LTAC RN position
- Start Date: March 16, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (through June 15, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Openings: 4 LTAC travel nurse positions available
- Employment Type: Travel, On-site
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1860 - $1960
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States (state-specific license may be required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience required; 2 years of LTAC/acute care experience highly desired
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills for LTAC nursing
- Experience with care for medically complex patients preferred; ability to learn unit-specific clinical systems quickly
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and follow LTAC protocols
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized LTAC care plans
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) to achieve quality outcomes
- Provide skilled nursing care for medically complex patients and support continuity of care during the travel nursing assignment
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and provide timely updates on patient status
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the medical record
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from the day of admission to support smooth transitions of care
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure patient safety and continuity
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees as appropriate
- Promote a culture of safety, including safe patient handling, infection prevention, and hazard awareness
- Support unit operations by identifying supply and equipment needs and delivering cost-effective care
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation
- Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment and support staff retention
