Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 5 years of acute care OR experience and a SC or compact RN license for a day shift position.

Job Details

• Work in a 12-OR hospital Operating Room serving a Level 3 trauma center,

• Day shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm,

• On-call required: one two-star call until 11pm per week and every 3rd or 4th weekend,

• No floating to other service lines or sister facilities,

• Block scheduling may be considered with managerial approval,

• Patient charting is completed using Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required; must be active prior to start,

• Minimum 5 years of acute care operating room experience, experienced in general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN cases,

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required,

• Radiation badge required and must be provided by the traveler,

• No local candidates within a 60-mile radius accepted,

• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation from facility to be eligible,

• SSN and driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a broad range of OR cases,

• First-time travelers considered if experienced across multiple specialties,

• Scrubs are provided by the facility,

• All planned time off must be disclosed before offer; requests after offer are not guaranteed approval,

• Pre-employment modules are completed before starting and average 4 hours,

• Expectations for participation in emergency response during hurricane season (June-November),

• Parking is provided at no cost,
