Education & Certification Requirements- Nursing diploma required.
- Current South Carolina State Board of Nursing license required.
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Commitment to ongoing clinical training and professional development.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a physician office, primary care clinic, specialty practice, community health center, or outpatient healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare databases.
- Understanding of pharmacology, medication administration, vaccines, and immunizations.
- Strong communication, patient service, and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Provide direct patient care including triage, assessments, treatments, patient education, follow-up care, and telephone nursing support.
- Assess patient needs through medical history reviews, physical observations, diagnostic results, and clinical evaluations.
- Administer medications, vaccines, immunizations, and treatments according to provider orders and clinical protocols.
- Support patient care coordination through referral management, medication refills, lab result follow-up, prior authorizations, and telephone encounters.
- Educate patients on preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment plans based on age, health status, and medical needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and clinical standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, patients, and families to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.
- Assist with staff training, support clinical workflow efficiency, and contribute to a positive patient experience.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service while delivering high-quality healthcare services.
