American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery/LDRP position requiring SC or compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.

• Work in the Labor and Delivery/LDRP unit of an acute care hospital
• Provide couplet care and support high-risk OB patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45a-7:15p)
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend
• On-call requirement of two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
• No floating required outside of the unit
• Uses Epic charting system
• Uses Omnicell medication dispensing system

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced and STABLE
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
• Social Security Number and Driver's License required for consideration

• Provide postpartum and couplet care for mother-baby patient pairs in an LDRP setting
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval based on unit needs
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 60-mile radius rule applies with non-local candidates prioritized
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for approval based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
