Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Labor and Delivery RN Opportunity

The Labor and Delivery RN will provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients before, during, and after childbirth. This role requires ensuring patient safety, comfort, and positive birthing experiences in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients to identify high-risk conditions and ensure timely interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and support staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on birth plans, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond promptly to emergent situations, including labor complications and postpartum emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid SC or multi-state compact RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Licensed in BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in high-risk obstetrics and couplet care.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
