Med Surg RN Position
This is a 13-week contract position.
4x12 hour shifts, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
We are seeking a dedicated Med Surg RN to join our team. This position supports a 34-bed general medical-surgical unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in a Med/Surg setting with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in the management of patients with telemetry requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current SC RN license or Compact license.
- 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Skills in telemetry, insulin management, and rapid response are essential.
