American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring SC or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• 34 staffed bed facility
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7, with staffing plan supporting 1:6 normal ratios that may flex to 1:7 during unplanned absences
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• On-call required on a PRN basis for low census situations
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and between like units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic EMR system

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills required in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, including IV therapy, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted; radius rule of 60 miles applies with non-local candidates prioritized
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application, with approval based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
