American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2+ years of experience and a SC or compact RN license.
Details- Work in a robust Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
- Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week
- Required to work four 12-hour call shifts within a 6-week period
- Float to similar units as needed
- 13-week assignment length
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current NRP certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days of start
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data
- Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
- Foster an environment of caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
- Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators
- Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees
- Support hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices
- Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
