American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with couplet care and high-risk OB experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Requirements- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
- BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with couplet care and high-risk OB required
- Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and use of infusion pumps/drips required
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- LDRP unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Couplet care with ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3
- High-risk antepartum and high-risk delivery patient population
- Day shift, 3x12 hours (6:45a-7:15p)
- Every third weekend required
- On-call required: two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
- No floating required outside of the unit
- Uses Epic EMR and Omnicell medication system
- Provide labor and delivery management and postpartum couplet care
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and antepartum care
- Scrubs provided by facility
- First-time travelers accepted
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is dependent on unit needs
- Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November)
