American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring circulating duties across multiple surgical service lines and call coverage.
Details- Operating Room unit supporting General, Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, and other surgical service lines
- 13-week assignment with a 09:00-19:30 shift schedule
- Weekend work required
- Participation in assigned on-call rotation required
- Performs circulating duties efficiently across varied surgical procedures
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA only) required
- ACLS certification (AHA only) required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
- Computer skills for utilizing patient care documentation programs
- Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data analysis
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while executing urgent interventions as needed
- Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and accurate, timely documentation of care
- Prep the operating room and position/prepare patients for procedures
- Serve as communication liaison between surgical team and patient families
- Assist with control and maintenance of OR supplies and equipment
- Flexibility to work within various surgical service lines is required
