American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a minimum of 5 years of acute care OR experience for a fast-paced 12-room surgical suite requiring an SC or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting
- Well-rounded OR experience required, including general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN specialties
- Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
- Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
- Level 3 trauma center Operating Room with 12 ORs
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
- On-call required: 2 late calls until 11pm per week plus every 3rd-4th weekend
- Uses Epic charting system
- Scrubs provided by facility
- Facility is a Level 3 trauma center with 276 staffed beds
- First-time travelers accepted if they possess a broad scope of specialty competency
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Non-local candidates are prioritized; a 60-mile radius rule applies and local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and is subject to facility approval
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
- Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November
